The McKinley is the absolute snow front chalet! You will never walk more than 50 meters either to jump into the first chair lift, take the children to the snow park or reach the departure of the ski schools!
If you are bold enough, you will not carry your skis more than 3 meters when returning home even though a little practice might be useful ...
The shopping centre is 10 minutes walk away, in the centre of the village. You will find at the ground floor of the chalet a cheerful Pub and a restaurant. Even if the apartments are equipped with kitchens, it may be a good idea to order your dishes from the restaurant downstairs.
The La Rosière ski resort is connected with the Italian ski resort La Thuile. By winter, the only possibility to join one ski resort from the other is by ski, because the road is closed. By the way, it's easy to find the Mc Kinley Chalet : follow the road which goes to Italy through the Le petit Saint Bernard pass. When the snow will stop you, you have reached the end of your journey.
Because La Rosière is very close to Italy, it is possible to practice Heliski. The helicopter will pick you up in France, drop you on the top of one of the surroundings Italian mounts, then you will ski back to France. Snowboarding is also possible, call the local guides for information.
Relaxing is also an option. The chalet face the south, and you will find around wooden and snow terraces to sunbath and enjoy the surrounding mountainous landscape.
